Department of Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul Aesthetic Center offers the full range of aesthetic surgery services for patients and clients. The main focuses of the department include face and neck aesthetics, rhinoplasty, mammoplasty, buttock aesthetics, body aesthetics, and liposuction.
Procedures offered by the Department of Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul Aesthetics Center are:
- Face Lifting Surgery /Rhytidectomy
During this procedure, the sagging excessive skin, which can be due to age, gravity, bad nutrition, or a disease, is removed or pulled back and the underlying tissues are adjusted to regain the normal contour of the face.- Duration of procedure: The surgery takes about 3-5 hours
- Postoperative period: The procedure results in some facial swelling and pain after the surgery which usually resolves spontaneously in 7-10 days
- Forehead Lifting Surgery/ Brow Lifting Surgery
This procedure involves the correction of forehead creases, hooded upper eyelids, and sagging eyebrows. Portions of the skin and underlying muscles are removed to erase the wrinkles.- Duration of procedure: The surgery lasts for less than 2 hours.
- Postoperative period: It is advised to use a head bandage for the first 2 days after surgery. Tenderness or numbness of the forehead disappears spontaneously in about 2 weeks.
- Eyelid Surgery/ Blepharoplasty
The procedure involves the correction of drooping of the eyelids by removing the excess, sagging skin, and underlying tissues (muscles and fat).- Duration of procedure: The procedure takes about 1-1.5 hours
- Postoperative period: Common temporary side effects of this surgery involve swelling and spots in the eye area as well as a burning, pain, and dryness sensation of the eyes but they usually resolve in 7 days.
- Lip Aesthetics
This surgery is performed to make the lips look plump and youthful by correcting the wrinkles and adjusting the lip volume according to the client’s wish. Filling the lips is done through injecting Botulinum toxin, materials that include hyaluronic acid or fats that are taken from the patient’s own body.- Duration of procedure: The procedure takes about 10-30 mins
- Prominent Ear Surgery
In this procedure, the angle between the ears and skull is reduced to the normal range. Prominent ears may not affect the function of the ear but it affects badly on the patient's social and mental life. This surgery is best performed at the school-age of 5-6 to avoid any psychological distress.- Duration of procedure: This surgery takes less than 1.5 hours
- Postoperative period: The patient has to wear a bandage for the first 2-3 days following the surgery and then a tennis bandana for 2-3 weeks.
- Chin Aesthetics Surgery/ Mentoplasty
This surgery includes reshaping the abnormal chin, which is due to genetic or acquired factors, to the desired position and size through placing or removing tissues from the chin area.- Duration of procedure: This procedure lasts for an average of 1-1.5 hours
- Postoperative period: The patient may experience mild tingling or pain sensation that resolves rapidly, especially when lying with the head at an upright position and applying cold compression.
- Neck Lift Surgery/ Platysmaplasty
This surgery involves removing the drooping excess skin and fat in the neck area which is usually a result of wrinkling and creasing.- Duration of procedure: This procedure takes about 2-5 hours.
- Postoperative period: Any feeling of discomfort or bruising usually fades in 2 weeks and stitches of this surgery come out in 5-10 days.
- Rhinoplasty
This surgery involves the reshaping of the nose to the desired appearance. This operation is considered one of the serious ones of aesthetic surgeries as it requires an experienced surgeon with precise hands.- Duration of procedure: This surgery usually lasts for 1-2 hours
- Postoperative period: It takes 2 days after the operation for the silicone pad, which helps the patient breathe comfortably, to be removed. The swelling of the face and nose may take up to 6 months to disappear.
- Breast Lifting Surgery
This procedure involves using silicone prosthesis along with cutting off the drooping excess skin of the breast to get rid of the breast sagging and to get the nipples back to their proper positions.- Duration of procedure: This surgery takes about 2-2.5 hours to complete
- Postoperative period: The patient will have to use a special bra for 1 month following the surgery.
- Breast Augmentation Surgery
This surgery is done through using silicone breast prosthesis, of different sizes and forms depending on the body structure, breast tissue thickness, and the desired shape and size. A cut around the nipple is made and the implants are placed in between the tissue layers.- Duration of procedure: This surgery takes about 1-2 hours to complete
- Postoperative period: The patient will have to use a special bra for 1 month following the surgery.
- Breast Reduction Surgery
This surgery is usually performed to decrease the size of the breast and correct the overall aesthetic look for them. The excess fat of the breast is removed along with the skin.- Duration of procedure: This surgery takes about 2-5 hours to complete
- Postoperative period: It takes 2-3 weeks for the pain and tense sensation to disappear and 2 months for the full recovery and attaining the final shape of the breast.
- Gynecomastia Surgery/ Breast Reduction In Men
This operation is performed on men with abnormally large breast tissue which is usually due to a hormonal disorder. It involves the removal of excess fat, tissue, and skin.- Duration of procedure: The surgery lasts for 1-1.5 hours
- Postoperative period: It takes 2-3 days for the patient to go back to their normal life.
- Butt Aesthetics Surgery
This surgery involves the lifting of the drooping butt which can be due to age, frequent gaining or loss of weight, and genetic reasons. This could be done through buttock implants, fat transfer of the patient’s body, tissue removal, or liposuction.- Duration of procedure: The surgery lasts for 2-4 hours
- Postoperative period: It takes about 2-3 weeks for the swelling to subside and gaining the normal shape of the buttocks.
- Arm Lift Surgery
This surgery involves cutting the sagging skin of the arms along with the excess fat underneath the skin or the drooping can be corrected through liposuction. Sagging of the arms can occur due to frequent weight gain and loss episodes, gravity, and growing old.- Duration of procedure: The surgery time varies between 30 minutes and 3 hours
- Postoperative period: The patient usually uses a corset for about 1 month.
- Tummy Tuck Surgery
This procedure corrects the accumulation of fat and the looseness of the abdominal walls which usually occur as a result of aging, frequent weight gain and loss episodes, and repeated pregnancies. The removal of the excess fat is usually enough but, in some cases, correction of the abdominal wall looseness is required. Duration of procedure:- Duration of procedure: The procedure lasts for about 2 hours
- Postoperative period: A corset is worn for about 3 weeks after the surgery.
- Genital Surgery for Women
As a result of aging, frequent weight loss, and gain episodes, genetics, or complications of delivery, there may be deformities of the external genitalia of women. Procedures are performed to reduce the size of the labia minora and major, make them plumber, tighten the vagina, tighten the pelvic floor, or make the pubic area higher and thinner.- Duration of procedure: Most of these surgeries don’t last longer than 1 hour.
- Genital Surgery for Men
As a result of aging, frequent weight loss and gain episodes or genetic factors, there may be deformities of the external genitalia of men. These procedures include enlargement of the penis, repositioning of the scrotum and pubic area upwards.- Duration of procedure: These surgeries usually take about 1-1.5 hours
- Postoperative period: The recovery period takes about 1-2 weeks.
- Leg Lifting Surgery
There may be an asymmetry between the two legs, so a procedure called Fat Injection or Prosthesis is performed to make them similar. Liposuction can also be performed in case of skin sagging and excess fat accumulation in the legs.- Duration of procedure: Depending on the age, type of procedure, and size of the leg, these procedures may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
- Postoperative period: In most cases, 4 weeks are needed for full recovery and disappearance of pain, bruising, and swelling of the leg.
- Microcannula Liposuction
This liposuction method is a minimally invasive approach performed using a tiny cannula to remove the fat and redefine the contour of the body.- Duration of procedure: This procedure lasts for 1-2 hours
- Postoperative period: A month is usually needed for the body to start shaping.
- Vaser Liposuction
This minimally invasive procedure is used to remove localized fat. The procedure involves injecting a liquid into the area which numbs the area and causes the liquefaction of fat cells more efficiently than liposuction.- Duration of procedure: The surgery of each area usually takes about 1 hour
