Department of Spinal Surgery and Neurosurgery at Helios ENDO-Clinic Hamburg provides surgical care for patients with diseases of the nerve system, in general, and the spine, in particular. As a certified center by the German Spine Society, it offers the full range of diagnostics and both conservative and surgical therapeutics for the full spectrum of congenital, inflammatory, traumatic, degenerative, and neoplastic diseases of the spine. The specialized units achieved impressive results in the treatment of herniated discs, spinal canal stenosis, tumors of the spine, inflammation of the spine, spinal injury, spinal deformities, chronic pain, and peripheral nerve compression. The medical staff treats over 500 inpatients every year, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Ralf Hemplemann, one of the few doctors to be awarded the Leading Medicine Guide Certificate for his efforts in the field of Spinal Surgery and Scoliosis.
