Department of Neurology at Beta clinic Bonn provides care for patients with diseases of the central and peripheral nervous systems. The main focus of the department is directed towards epilepsy and seizure disorders. The department works in close cooperation with the Department of Pediatric Neurology for the diagnosis and treatment of paroxysmal disorders.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Christian Elger, the department has special attention directed towards cerebrovascular diseases such as stroke and neurodegenerative diseases like dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The department works in close cooperation with the Department of Neurosurgery for the treatment of epilepsy and movement disorders with the use of botulinum toxin, deep brain stimulation, and laser ablation.
