Department of Ophthalmology at Beta clinic Bonn provides conservative and surgical care for patients with diseases of the eye and orbit. The main focuses of the department are age-related macular degeneration, cataract, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. 
The surgical unit of the department is an established center for surgical treatment of cataracts and errors of refraction. All refraction corrective procedures such as LASIK, PRK, and LASEK are offered for patients depending on the cases under the guidance of Dr. Med. Claudia Inhetvin-Hutter. Other surgical interventions such as pars plana vitrectomy are also provided for the treatment of retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage, and macular hole.
