Department of Nuclear Medicine at Beta clinic Bonn provides the latest diagnostics and therapeutics fueled by radioactive substances. The department uses nuclear medicine methods for the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases and oncological pathologies of various organs as thyroid diseases and neuroendocrine tumors are the fields where nuclear medicine makes the biggest impact. The department also works in close cooperation with the Department of Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospital Bonn to ensure each patient gets optimal care for their condition.
Scintigraphy of sentinel node in breast tumors, treatment of liver cancer, and bone metastases are also offered in the department with help of the University Hospital Bonn. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Hans-Jürgen Biersack, the specialists of the department use various kind of techniques/equipment to determine the form, position, size, and changes of the diseased organs before surgical intervention.
